Agreement to Promote Sustainable Forestry

The Agreement to Promote Sustainable Forestry promotes the sustainable management of forests and is meant to improve international responsible business conduct throughout the entire wood value chain.

The agreement started in March 2017 and had a term of three years. Representatives from the wood sector, the building, furniture and retail sectors, trade unions, NGOs and the Dutch government signed the agreement. The agreement came to a close with a final meeting in December 2020.
