OECD Forum on Responsible Mineral Supply Chains

Outsourcing activities can increase the risk of violation of labour rights. Such risks can often be difficult to identify through standard due diligence measures.

Various participants of International RBC Agreements will provide a contribution to this session. A case study will be presented and the participants will share their experiences, best practices, and perspectives on how to mitigate the risks related to outsourcing in the mining value chain. The participants are:

  • Frank Wagemans (Achmea, Party to the International RBC Agreement for the Pension Funds),
  • Tonnis J. Poppema (Nyrstar, Party to the International RBC Agreement for the Metals Sector),
  • Ellis van Ark (CNV International, Party to both International RBC Agreements)
  • Olga van Leeuwen (Dutch Social and Economic Council)

The session will be moderated by Fabiana Di Lorenzo, Director Responsible Sourcing at Levin Sources.
