On 5 February, a series of workshops on the subject of living wage start. The workshops aim to support companies in the social dialogue with their suppliers and improving their buying practices as a part of their due diligence.

Several companies contribute to the workshops by sharing their own practices, such as H&M, Schijvens Corporate Fashion, Esprit and C&A. Other parties, such as ILO Better Work, ACT - initiative on living wages, Fair Wear Foundation and amfori – Trade with purpose, share their knowledge at these workshops. About 40 companies participate to this first series of workshops. Participating to this workshops is a mandatory element of the agreement.

Collective project living wage

The Agreement on Sustainable Garments and Textile organizes these workshops as a part of the collective project on living wage. Living wage is an important theme within the agreement, as progress on this theme can have a positive effect on the other themes within the agreement.
