Emma Safety Footwear has signed the Agreement on Garments and Textile

Emma is the first footwear company that signed the Agreement on Garments and Textile. The Dutch company produces safety footwear for different industries. By signing the Agreement the company will commit to work towards a sustainable production chain.

The Agreement focuses on companies in the garment and textile sector. For companies in related sectors who want to commit to work with the Agreement on the implementation of due diligence an exception can be made. Emma Safety Footwear is the first footwear company that has signed the Agreement under this exception. This step will give the Agreement an opportunity to identify how the approach suits footwear companies.
