For Generation Green, as an EPC partner for solar PV, battery energy storage systems (BESS) and EV charging infrastructure, responsible business conduct sits at the centre of their business. With their commitment to the Agreement the total number of companies, organisations and governments involved expands to 63.
Generation Green is an EPC partner that designs and installs solar PV, battery storage and EV charging systems for businesses in Europe. The key components the company works with come from an international supply chain that carries well-documented human rights and environmental risks: “Every project we deliver depends on a long international supply chain. Our influence on that chain has its limits, but we can take responsibility for what is within our reach. Our Supplier Code of Conduct, introduced in 2026, is a first step towards reducing human rights and environmental risks in our chain. We are joining the IRBC Agreement because collective action achieves more than any single company can. We look forward to contributing our practical experience from the installation end of the chain,” says Anna Gerritse, ESG Manager at Generation Green.
In addition to their Supplier Code of Conduct the company is also working on a grievance mechanism for suppliers and their workers, and to map and manage their CO2 emissions as well as minimise resource use and waste and reuse and recycle materials in line with circular economy principles. The company learned about the Agreement through their own ESG work and already collaborates with some of the companies in the Agreement. As such, becoming a party to the Agreement will both support Generation Green to strengthen their own efforts as well as share their experiences to support the other parties.
About the Agreement
In the Agreement, wind and solar energy companies, industry associations, trade unions, civil society organisations, knowledge institutions and the Dutch government work together with the aim of promoting international responsible business conduct (IRBC) in the renewable energy sector. This is done by jointly identifying human rights, environmental and biodiversity risks in the value chain and taking action to address them, for example through collective projects.
