Parties are still enthusiastic about continuing their collaboration within the agreement. They also agreed that the emphasis going forward should be to create as much impact as possible. To this end parties wish to continue to translate their joint efforts into concrete actions or joint projects. Negotiations with all parties for an extension of the Agreement until 2030 are currently underway.

The IRBC Agreement contributes to creating impact through different impact projects on the ground. For instance, parties have initiated 2 impact projects on copper mining in Peru: one of these projects is focused on mitigating impacts from artisanal-small scale mining (with the funding of European Partnership for Responsible Minerals), the other project focuses on mitigating impacts from large-scale copper mining (funded by Sesam subsidy).
