Agreement for the Food Products Sector

Sector and civil society organisations, trade unions and the Dutch national government have signed the IRBC Agreement for the Food Products Sector. Together, they will minimise the risks of negative impacts, including human rights violations and environmental damage, and work towards a more sustainable production chain in the food products sector.

Local Expert Network

The Agreement has started its own local expert network. Professionals all over the world will be trained to become a local risk assessment expert for the agri-food sector.

Trade union freedom and social dialogue are essential to respect the rights of workers in the agri-food sector. Gaining insight into the human rights situation in supply chains starts with asking the right questions. Parties to the international RBC Agreement for the Food Products Sector and Fairtrade have developed a flyer to help companies.
